BDC, RBC, the big banks and private lenders.
Different lenders are good at different things. We know who to go to for what, so you don't waste time (or credit checks) applying everywhere.
GRC Group is independent. Lender names are shown for reference only and do not imply endorsement.
BDC
The Business Development Bank of Canada is focused on entrepreneurs and often works with businesses that need more flexible terms.
RBC & the major banks
Competitive rates and full banking relationships for businesses with solid financials and a clear plan.
Private lenders
Faster, more flexible options when timing is tight or the file doesn't fit a bank's box yet.
Lenders say yes to files that are easy to say yes to.
Most delays and declines come down to missing information or a weak story. We fix both before your file reaches a lender.
- Business plan written the way lenders read
- Financial projections and cash-flow forecast
- Organized financial statements and tax documents
- Clear use-of-funds and repayment plan
- Stacked with any grants you qualify for, to reduce how much you borrow
Loan questions, answered plainly.
Are you a lender?
No. GRC Group is an independent advisor. We prepare your file and work with lenders like BDC, RBC, the major banks and private lenders to find the right fit. The lender makes the final decision and sets the terms.
Will you check my credit?
We won't run a credit check during your free review. Lenders will check credit when you formally apply, and we'll tell you before that happens so there are no surprises.
My bank already said no. Can you still help?
Often, yes. A decline from one lender doesn't mean every lender will say no. Sometimes it's how the file was presented, sometimes it's the wrong product, and sometimes a different lender or a government-backed program is the better fit.
What can a business loan be used for?
Common uses include opening or buying a business, renovations and leasehold improvements, equipment, expansion, working capital and refinancing. Each lender and program has its own rules on eligible uses.
How long does it take to get a loan?
It depends on the lender and how complete your file is. A clean, well-prepared package is the single biggest thing that speeds up approval, and that's what we build.
Ready to talk financing?
Tell us what you need the money for. We'll tell you honestly which lenders and programs make sense, and whether a grant can cover part of it.
